ROAD BOOK OF MONACO CROWDFUNDING
This is not an automatic way to raise funds.
Choosing crowdfunding involves mobilizing your first circle (family, friends, business relationships). You must first rally to your project those who know you to convince those who do not know you. This is not the last resort when business angels, venture capitalists or banks have refused to fund your project. Crowdfunding is often a complement to another form of financing.
Just because you drop a project on a crowdfunding platform does not mean you have nothing more to do. On the contrary, you must invest in your campaign and animate it. Remember that you are the CARRIER of the project.
You will succeed in financing your project because it is desirable, feasible and viable.
Desirable: it aroused the interest of the selection committee of the crowdfunding platform and later that of the contributors of the community.
Achievable: your project is technically up to date, it works and you are about to start marketing.
Viable: your project meets a need, an expectation and you have identified the market.
Crowdfunding calls for special skills and expertise in its own right:
Structure your approach (How to sell my project, how and to whom?) Show us that your business is going to walk (concept innovation, your business model).
Participatory financing or crowdfunding provides access to several types of funding such as:
-donation or "crowdgiving"
-pre-sale or "pre-sale"
-loan or crowdlending,
Projects can include culture, humanitarian, renewable energy, eco-technology and high-tech.
MONACO CROWDFUNDING is a networking platform that allows projects to meet people who can finance them. You will know if your project is eligible for the MONACO CROWDFUNDING platform by consulting the section "Our selection criteria". After creating a platform in France, co-founders Sébastien PRAT and Frédérik FARSETTI realized that the Principality of Monaco did not host any crowdfunding platform, although it was a forerunner in financial matters. The "White Paper Monaco 2029" suggests a permanent innovation in the financial sector: "On the example of Silicon Valley, the Monegasque authorities must promote simple means of access to available capital for entrepreneurs in Monaco. However, since Monaco does not have sufficient financial risk takers (business angels, finance, venture capital and development capital companies), it will be necessary to set up an ad hoc network ". On September 1, 2015, MONACO CROWDFUNDING becomes the first crowdfunding platform in the Principality.
MONACO CROWDFUNDING offers four modes of participatory financing:
Donation: you contribute to the financing of a humanitarian or charitable project and you receive a consideration.
Pre-sale: You have designed a product or solution and you have gone beyond the prototyping stage. You work on its marketing: the crowdfunding allows you to offer it in "preview" worldwide and exclusively.
Loan: you lend to a company that has the ability to monthly repay your split capital and interest at a rate and duration (defined before the campaign).
Equity: You want to open the capital of your unlisted company to investors in exchange for a share of the share capital of the company carrying your project.
Royalty: you do not make a capital increase but you agree to share with your investors a share of the income or capital gains of your company.
MONACO CROWDFUNDING means :
Security (3D secure encrypted payment system, selection and follow-up of projects), Confidentiality (no commercial exploitation of its database), Legality (control of project promoters, compliance with the SICCFIN rules against fraud and money laundering).
Whatever the potential of your project, you will be deprived of opportunities if you are not sufficiently prepared. As a PROJECT HOLDER, your role is critical. You are the pillar, the representative, the federator, it is your image and your managerial capacities that will engender the confidence of the contributors and therefore the success of the campaign and consequently that of your project.
An ill-defined PROJECT may be a source of litigation or misunderstanding on the part of the community of contributors. A crowdfunding campaign requires significant involvement and availability to convince contributors of the value of your project. Commit yourself to being sure of your involvement.
Before the campaign were you asked the right questions?
You make sure that no proceedings, actions, lawsuits or administrative procedures are likely to prevent or prohibit you from presenting the PROJECT, to allow and to ensure its realization. You certify the accuracy of the data on the nature, objectives, main characteristics and expected development of your PROJECT.
Which communication media did you choose?
You will have to provide texts and video to present your project; Indeed, for any crowdfunding campaign, communication is an essential axis. Therefore, a video or images may be the trigger for contributions or completely put off the contributors. We favor the realization of a short video, realized if possible by professionals.
What counterparties do you offer?
Do you offer real counterparts that will encourage your contributors to support you, or will you delegate this task to us? What stage of development do you want to achieve through this fundraiser?
How much will you need to collect to be able to achieve your project and achieve your goals?
Have you already done your business plan?
During the campaign, were you asked the right questions?
We know a universal rule of crowdfunding: it is not by what a project is presented on the internet, that it will finance itself. To believe it would be a mistake!
What hearing do you need to contact?
You must mobilize your first circle (family, friends, professional relations). Those who know you must support your project by convincing those who do not yet know you, in this case their friends.
How should you communicate?
Here again, the project leader has a key role to play: he must carry the campaign, ie communicate, communicate and still communicate.
Teaser the campaign (create agitation by spreading a message seductive), not to give all informatios right away to the community of contributors. Optimize the data-line by diffusing elements sparingly so as to have the possibility to create a link with the community of contributors and to show that you are in a real dynamic.

You agree to mention on your website, your Facebook page, Linkedin, Viadeo, Google+, Pinterest, ... the link of your project page on our MONACO CROWDFUNDING platform (https://www.monacocrowdfunding.com/en/projectname) . You agree to include on all your communications the MONACO CROWDFUNDING logo at the bottom of the page with the other partners of the project, just as you will mention @MC_Crowdfunding and the #name of project on all your campaign tweets.
After the campaign, have you asked yourself the right questions?
What should you do first?
You must be loyal to your support community.
By the second day after the close of the crowdfunding campaign, you must thank all of your contributors. Fifteen days after the close of the crowdfunding campaign, you must indicate to your supporters the stages of your project, the dates of dispatch of the counterparts.
Each month you must inform them regularly about the progress of the project. It will be essential to plan an official launch of the project, if possible with an event in which you will invite all your support.
You undertake to ensure that the entire amount collected is allocated to the specific purpose of the crowdfunding campaign and its funding.
You undertake, according to the defined modalities:
To deliver the consideration provided for in the grant,
To start repaying your lenders in the case of the loan,
To proceed with the closing with your investors in the case of the capital increase.
If you follow all the steps outlined in this roadbook, you will triple your chances of success. MONACO CROWDFUNDING invites you to consult "our commitments ».
